Terms of Service

1. Operator and agreement

HOOPS.ONLINE is operated by UAB Okursa, company code 305060538, VAT number LT100012266115, registered at Metalo g. 2, LT-02190 Vilnius, Lithuania. The service is published at https://hoops.online.

By creating an account or using an account-based feature, a user agrees to the approved version of these Terms presented at that time. Privacy information is provided separately in the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

HOOPS.ONLINE is a general-audience basketball service and is not directed at children. A person must be at least 16 years old to create or use an account. We do not offer a parental-consent account path at launch.

A user must provide accurate eligibility information. If we reliably learn that an account holder is below the minimum age, we may restrict the account and remove associated personal data under the applicable process.

3. Accounts and security

• One person may not impersonate another person, organization, player, team or HOOPS.ONLINE representative.
• Users are responsible for the security of their login method and for activity performed through their session.
• Usernames must comply with the Community Rules and may be changed or removed when they infringe rights, mislead users or enable abuse.
• Automated access, account trading, artificial ranking activity and interference with security controls are prohibited.

4. Basketball facts and independent creation

HOOPS.ONLINE is an independent text- and statistics-based basketball simulation. Player names, team locations, game results, box-score statistics and historical basketball events are factual information. The service uses those facts in an independently created product with its own code, systems, rankings, interface, graphics, animation, music and data structure. Under this defined factual and textual product scope, HOOPS.ONLINE does not require an NBA or NBPA content license.

HOOPS.ONLINE is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, authorized by or licensed by the NBA, NBPA, FIBA, EuroLeague, their teams or their players. The service does not use official league or team logos, player photographs, recognizable face scans, broadcast footage or protected jersey graphics.

5. HOOPS.ONLINE intellectual property

The HOOPS.ONLINE and OKURSA PRODUCTIONS names, original software, game systems, interface, writing, scoring models, graphics, animation, music, sound design and original data structure belong to the operator or are used under valid third-party terms.

Users receive a limited, personal, revocable and non-transferable right to use the service. No right is granted to copy, sell, scrape, reverse engineer, republish or commercially exploit protected elements of the service except where mandatory law expressly permits it.

6. Community and user content

Usernames, profile information, lobby messages, voice interactions and reports must follow the Community Rules. Users keep the rights they have in content they submit and grant the operator the limited rights needed to store, display, moderate and transmit that content as part of the service.

We may restrict or remove content and accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Rules, another person's rights or applicable law. Material moderation decisions will have an appeal route where required.

7. Rankings and fair play

• Manipulating results, exploiting defects, coordinating false matches or using unauthorized automation is prohibited.
• Rankings may be recalculated or removed when a technical defect, abuse or invalid result affected them.
• Game simulations and ratings are entertainment systems; they are not official league evaluations or predictions.

8. Advertising and sponsors

HOOPS.ONLINE is free and may be supported by clearly identified advertising and sponsors. A sponsor relationship does not make the service official to any league, team or player unless expressly stated in a separate verified announcement.

Optional advertising technologies are controlled through the Cookies & Storage choices and applicable regional requirements.

9. Availability and changes

We may maintain, improve, rebalance, suspend or discontinue features. We work to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Material Terms changes will be versioned and presented before they bind an account.

10. Responsibility

HOOPS.ONLINE is provided for entertainment and basketball discussion. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses caused by ordinary service interruption, third-party networks or a user's failure to secure an account. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by Lithuanian law while preserving mandatory consumer rights that apply in a user's country of residence. Questions may be sent to support@hoops.online.
